This tree can be 20 - 25m tall. This tree is endemic to Hawaii. It is the most common native tree in Hawaii. It tolarates many kinds of soil, temperature and rainfall. It is most commonly found in dry and moist forests. It grows slowly. The flowers of this tree are used medically to treat pain. The flowers can be red,pink, yellow and orange.
